You may register an administrative contact on our website without opting in to SMS messaging. SMS alerts require separate, explicit, and voluntary consent, which is collected through an optional checkbox on the alert preferences page.
By checking the SMS consent box, you authorize NJ Alerts to send automated, recurring operational text messages to the mobile number you provide.
SMS consent is not a condition of account registration or use of non-SMS features. Only users who voluntarily opt in will receive SMS alerts.
Message frequency varies based on system alert volume (typically less than 100 messages per month). Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier plan.
You can cancel the SMS service at any time by replying STOP to any alert. Upon sending STOP, you will receive a single confirmation message and no further alerts will be sent. Reply HELP for assistance or contact admin@nj-alerts.net.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
